It’s not Warcraft IV, but it’ll have to do: Today Blizzard announced it’s importing over three thousand Warcraft III assets into the StarCraft II mod tools. Everything from the character models to the audio and UI are available, meaning someone could conceivably recreate basically all of Warcraft III in the StarCraft II engine.
Someone like.. Blizzard, maybe?
Will we see a Warcraft III HD anytime soon? I don’t know, but it’s at least a possibility. And in the meantime we’ll undoubtedly see modders recreating some of their favorite levels.. or just remaking Defense of the Ancients a thousand times over.
Best vanilla icing for cupcakes. Cool in the fridge for approximately 30 minutes and then roll into 1″ balls and place on wax paper. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.(I know what you’re thinking, the picture doesn’t look prettyat all, but just wait trust me)Just like cake pops or balls, once you have baked your brownies, mix them very well with a chocolate/fudge frosting. Whisk until completely incorporated. Add the flour mixture all at once and whisk to incorporate.
“Once these assets become available to the public, we are going to spotlight the best content in what we are calling, ‘Memories of War,’” writes Blizzard. “Whether it’s from the first opening of the dark portal in Warcraft: Orcs and Humans to Grommash leading the Iron Horde in Warlords of Draenor, we want to see it recreated in the StarCraft II editor.”
It’s a smart move—not only is there a ton of Warcraft III nostalgia floating around, but there’s a ton of nostalgia floating around for Warcraft III’s mod community in particular. There’s a reason Dota emerged from that crucible. It’s one of those rare games (like Counter-Strike 1.6) that was surrounded by an outpouring of creativity and community goodwill.
And for all you Warcraft fans reading this and thinking “Oh damn, I don’t have StarCraft II,” remember: The StarCraft II arcade (which is where all the custom maps reside) is entirely free-to-play. Zug zug.
Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth brings Warcraft 3 into StarCraft 2, as is free now on the StarCraft 2 Arcade.
Warcraft 3 Unique Races Mod
It seems that fans of the original Warcraft strategy games (remember those?), who have been waiting patiently for Warcraft 4 may have a little reprieve in the form of an amazing StarCraft 2 mod. Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth, which is now available for free in the SC2 arcade, brings Warcraft 3 into StarCraft 2, with revamped graphics and additional features.
Today marks the launch of the mod's alpha, which only contains the 'Turtle Rock' map, but the developers claim that more maps will be added rapidly. Some of the key new features of the remake include:
Warcraft 3 Best Graphics Mod
Additionally, players need only the free StarCraft 2: Starter Edition to play, which effectively means that you can now play Warcraft 3 for free.

I like many other players got into warcraft via Warcraft III, and as a game and story the game STILL holds up to this day as a remarkable RTS and outstanding game.
However; slowly but surely the game is getting older, and although I LOVE warcraft III I'd like to see some textures and models updated a little. Some people have done dota 2 to warcraft III conversion mods, for instance, Dota II heroes are avaliable to be played in warcraft III. I was wondering if there is simply a HD remake of Warcraft III textures, keeping the style and vision but just improving the graphics a little?
